How to use this website

Home Page

When you enter www.shaarhashamaim.com in the address bar of any internet browser, you will arrive at the home page with title Shaar Hashamaim (Gate of Heaven) Synagogue, Thane. The three icons by the right side of the title are, a picture of a Shopping Cart & two buttons titled New User? & Log In. If you wish to see the containts of your shopping cart from any webpage on this website, click this icon. The two other icons of which first one is to make one time registeration on this web application & the last one is to log in if, you already have a User Id & Passowrd.

You will notice a menu bar just below the title ‘Shaar Hashamaim’ which has options such as ‘About Us’, ‘Donate’, ‘Services’, ‘Rooms’, ‘Library’, ‘Gallery’, ‘This week’, ‘Calendar’, ‘Miscellaneous’, ‘My Account’, ‘Administration’ & ‘Contact us’. You will be allowed to use these pages without logging in with a valid User Id & password, you will be able to see submenus only for the services you are allowed. The other services will be available to you after you have successfully logged in.

The Leftmost icon on this menu bar is a picture of a home. Clicking this icon from anywhere on this web application will take you to the home page. This menu will repeat on every page of this application. Just below the menu bar, you will notice a slideshow in the center of the page where we will post photos of latest events. Two square blocks on each side can be used for placing advertisement/announcements/achievements of Shaar Hashamaim or members of our community.

User Specific Web Pages

You must log-in with valid UserId & password to access these pages. Therefore, please register yourself after clicking either 'New User?' icon on the upper right of the home page or click 'Register New User' icon under 'My Account Menu' or click 'New User Registration' link on the Log-in page. Fill in the information on the form, let the system generate user-id, enter password & confirmation password, enter password recovery question & answer & hit 'Create UserId' icon.

You may now log-on using your log-in credentials & start using these web pages. Remember, we are in the test mode until we release this application to the community. However, you may go ahead & book services with Shaar Hashamaim using newly created User-Id & password upto & including making online payments via PayUMoney Payment Gateway. Use caution, not to use your personal Credit/Debit cards in the test mode. Feel free to call Abimelekh Bhastekar(9930880868) to get a dummy Credit Card number, Expiry date, CVV number & OTP to proceed. This will not debit/credit actual money but, process the card like any other transaction & display the transaction being complete & will generate receipt on success. Your services are not confirmed until you choose to make a payment from this page. You have an option to go back and request more services from here. Your wishlist will remain intact until either you click Make Payment or remove a request by clicking Remove button pertaining to a service from your wishlist.
